I paid the extra to ensure my delivery arrived by noon the next day as I needed the purchase to attend a party that evening four hours drive away. Not only did the parcel not arrive, Very were unable to find out where the parcel was beyond reading the tracking information which I had already read myself on their website. They attempted to give me the telephone number of the courier, Yodel, yet when I phoned the premium rate number it was in fact a Debt Collection Agency. On the second attempt, I did get through to Yodel who, true to form "didn't know why the parcel was late". They took my number to telephone the depot who would give me a call to update in "a few hours". They refused to give me a telephone number for the depot and were completely incapable of understanding that I needed to get on the road and therefore understand the status of my parcel as a matter of urgency.
Had I known that Very's preferred delivery service was Yodel, I would never have purchased anything from them as I have only ever had shocking service from Yodel in the past.
Not only do Very use an utterly inept and unreliable courier service, not only do they fail to meet the expectations of their customers' and meet with the agreed delivery terms, they are both unwilling and unable to engage with dissatisfied customers, take ownership and responsibility for poor service and fail to resolve customer service issues when they do arise.
In summary, don't shop with them, it simply isn't worth it.
