With the traffic being lighter than usual, I felt that I spent a lot of time sitting at bus stops, and this did influence my feelings about using the bus in future. I felt that I actually learnt more on a previous visit using another firm, and on a trip to Dublin. We used the English commentary on the headphones, and although I liked the music, I did think I could have been learning something instead.
The Harry Potter walking tour was good. The other walk was informative but only really covered three locations, although I understand that the photo opportunities were fantastic for the overseas visitors.
We didn't use our river cruise ticket.
We also waited at the Aldwych bus stop 15 to catch the Green route bus to Kings Cross, based on my interpretation of the map information, but it didn't stop there, so we walked up to Russell Square to make sure we were in the right place for the next one, but this only served to highlight that it was actually easier to walk much of the area.
I'm not sure my comments are any help, but I have tried to be honest, as I do think the bus tours should appeal to British folk as well as overseas visitors.
