Product as ordered but delivery poor

Product (Berghaus Choktoi II) arrived in good condition and was exactly as ordered. Was bought as a gift and recipient was very pleased with it. However, I paid extra for delivery the following day and waited in all day but the delivery did not arrive in its allocated slot. I called Simply Hike: the lady was very helpful and chased up the courier, and I was told it would arrive by the end of the day. It didn't. After a second call, I was told it would arrive by noon the following day. It did (just) - but having to stay at home for a day and a half was frustrating to say the least, and for that reason I would be reluctant to use the company again. SimplyHike might wish to review their choice of courier.

We are sincerely sorry that customer experienced this inconvenience with our Courier. We do receive vast amounts of excellent feedback regarding the Courier service and we can only think that this was an unfortunate incident possibly due to it being their busiest time of year. However, whilst the Courier had planned in their schedule and emailed customer to state that the goods were to be delivered the next day after date of despatch, the postage option chosen by customer was the Express service which is classified as a 48 hour working day service from date of despatch and not a Next Working Day service which some customer's do confuse. The Courier did keep to the 48 hour timing on this delivery, the goods were despatched on 18th Dec and was delivered/signed for on 20th Dec.
