As per the title, I had an almost two year old phone to sell following the purchase of a new model.
I had a look at various comparison websites and prices ranged from £20 to £38. After looking at the reviews of the top paying websites (really poor!) I decided to go with Fonebank who were offering £25 or a £27 Amazon voucher. Signed up, got the postal label, wrapped up well and sent off. with a proof of posting.
A couple of days later had an e-mail from Fonebank saying the phone had been received and I should be getting my voucher from Amazon in the next couple of days - and sure enough I did.
Simple to do, realistic prices and quick. Would use again.
I ordered two din rail timers on 25.04.13. My bank account was debited on 27.04.13.
As I'd not heard from them since the original order response I emailed them on 01.05.13 - no reply.
I phoned them on 03.05.13 - they said they would phone back, they did not. So I emailed them again later on 03.05.13 requesting a refund - no reply.
I phoned again on 08.05.13. They said they would phone back - they did but had to call me back again - they did not.
I emailed them again later on 08.05.13 requesting a refund. No reply.
I phoned them on 09.05.13 again requesting a refund - finally received a refund note from paypal that morning. Still waiting for it to appear in my account.
They do not have a customer service manager - I asked - and I spoke to two people who seemed to be 'running' the show. Will never use again even if cheapest.
Hi, some mixed reviews here about handtec so I thought I would add my own.
I ordered a Garmin 3490 sat nav on 05.02.13 in the morning and received the usual e-mail acknowledgement. In the afternoon I received an e-mail saying it had been dispatched via DPD.
On 06.02.13 I checked the delivery status on the DPD website and it was due between 14.55 and 15.55. It arrived safe and sound at 15.00.
So, good service from handtec and DPD. Would use again.
Hi. I've bought from bikers gear twice now over a period of nine months. The products that I bought - gloves and Kevlar jeans - are excellent quality and better value than from other MC clothing providers.
I've also used their returns procedure and had good service from them with my e-mail query quickly responded to and my account being credited promptly.
Will happily use again.
It's always concerning when buying an expensive item from a company for the first time. However, the website is first class and allowed me to personalise the PC to the specification that I wanted and gave useful information about the components.
Once ordered, the e-mail updates work nicely so that you know where your PC is in the production line. You can also have a text sent once the PC is dispatched. It arrived in good packaging and the PC inside as ordered.
Their website also has a Forum that is bang up to date. You can find info here regarding specifications and useful advice. I’ve had the PC just over a week now and so far it’s brilliant!
