Firstly the price and product were extremely good, and I am perfectly pleased with the service from Rich Tone Music themselves. However delivery of the product was scheduled for the next working day (Friday) which was confirmed in all documentation. No delivery arrived Friday (I waited at home all day expecting it), and the online tracking information was only updated at approximately 6.30 pm to indicate that there was an 'exception' and the product had been returned to the depot. On calling UPS the operator could only guess at what might have caused this (traffic etc), and could/would not arrange for a re-delivery until Monday, in which case I would have not only have wasted the Friday, but also would not have the items ordered to use over the weekend. The only alternative offered was for me to collect the items the next morning from the depot (which was not especially local) before 12. The depot had no contact number with which I could reach them the next morning to confirm the items were available (to prevent wasting yet more time), however, the one saving grace was that the UPS employee at the depot was very efficient and helpful once I arrived. Overall I expected better service from UPS, which until now I had believed to hold the gold standard for delivery companies, but I cannot hold Rich Tone Music responsible for their failings.
