I have purchased in the past from Hificables. The services were excellent. But my recent 2 purchases were disappointing. The first was my Order no. 97164.
First, there was a error in the system calculation. I had to pay additional money. That's fine.
"Thank you for your order. Unfortunately due to a system error your order was put through without any postage charges added. We will need to bill an additional £12.50 to cover the postage costs to get your roder to you."
Then I was informed that the package was returned by airmail due to overweight.
"I'm very sorry but we have had your order returned by the postal service as it is actually too heavy to send by airmail. We will need to use a courier to send your roder to you instead.
I have obtained a quote from our couriers for your order which comes to £60.24.
YOu have already paid £12.50 towards this price which means we would need to bill an additional amount of £47.74. This would get you an express courier service which would typically arrive within 2-3 working days."
I refused to pay so much. So I suggested that they cut the cable and mail them to me separately, which they agreed.
"I can split the cable up into two lengths for you. We would then be sending you two packages so we would need to charge postage on the second one. Normally this would be £12.50 but as we've kept you waiting and had to bill you additional money I can offer to send the package for only £7.50. and we'll pay the rest."
I agreed to pay for the additional charges.
However, I regret to inform that I have yet to receive the cables.
"Order 97163 was shipped out on 11/12 as we were able to send that order by airmail.
Order 97164 was shipped out seperately on 18/12 as two packages.
So in total you will be getting three packages.
With the run up to Christmas we are seeing some delays to our post at the moment apologies."
