Booked for a parcel to be collected and sent to Cyprus. Paid £20 more because they stated it would be collected on New Years Eve between 11.30am and 7.30pm. I waited in all day and nobody collected the parcel on that day they arrived on 2 January and then today 4 January I have received a call from Fast Lane asking for another £16 as the parcel weighed more than I stated (although it was weighed before sending).
I was absolutely appalled at firstly being let down and as a consequence letting my customer down and then by the disgusting attitude of a manager of this company. They seriously are well trained in every excuse under the sun. Firstly they said the parcel was overweight, then when challenged he said the weight was calculated by volume metrics, then he said the T&C's stated 'times may vary' they do not however state 'dates' may also vary. The manager then tried to tell us in an ideal world circumstances such as snow, transport problems etc can effect delivery and collections however none of these were issues.
They took absolutely no responsibility for their actions and they said I was to take it up with the third party courier even though my contract was with Fast Lane.
Challenging the manager and asking him to accept that they had not fulfilled their contract resulted in him hanging up.
Use them at your own risk, I would never ever use them again their service is rubbish!
