Mankind is one of the few UK stockist for Headblade products. The products are excellent, although, as with most US-produced products, the price on Mankind is over twice what you'd pay in the US. But they're excellent products and by UK standards, still good value for money. Mankind's customer service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. There were several products in my order and, after having placed the order, I realised that I'd mistakenly ordered a travel size version of one product. I immediately rang the customer service number to put it right, but they said that all they could do was cancel the item in question, refund the money, and I would have to re-order the correct size. This was within minutes of having placed my order. I also wanted to upgrade to next day delivery, but was told that this wasn't possible once my order was placed. I instructed the customer service team to leave the order as it was. Shortly after, I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled. Then, later still, another email saying that my order couldn't be cancelled because it had already been packed for shipping. I eventually took delivery of items 5 days after placing the order. Why couldn't I alter my order minutes after placing it? Why couldn't I upgrade to next day delivery? With beauty and toiletry items, purchase is often to replace, meaning rapid delivery and flexibility are paramount.
I shall not be using Mankind again but will instead call into Cater & Bond in London.
