I needed an exhaust for my E36 BMW and after a few calls found national to offer a very good price. The work was carried out as promised and the person at the counter was able to offer some good advice for my car, showing he knew his vehicles without showing off or being condescending. I've been back, will continue to go back and have recommended the Basildon branch to others.
I ordered a Mainboard to replace mine. I needed it urgently for a Monday morning delivery to my customer so I paid for the expensive Saturday delivery. I waited in and no delivery. I email and phoned on the Saturday and could not get hold of anybody.
Very early on Monday morning I drove for two hours to the shop so I could get the machine back to my customer. I was told that the they had none in stock and nothing else would be work with the configuration I had. I walked over to the shelf and the first box I came to was a better mainboard than I ordered. I asked for a refund, stating they were in breach of contract as they had not delivered as requested. They of course refused stating it was out of their hands as the problem was with the delivery company. I had to pay as I was running out of time to satisfy my customer.
I've left this with my solicitor who is issuing them was a bill for my lost time and effects to my business.
They have no idea about the products, no idea about customer service and no idea about stock.
The mainboard turned up 10 days later. The board was only in its anti-static bag, no cardboard box, no protective packaging with an address label that had been handwritten by a two year old. They had not sent it Saturday delivery.
