was told product was out of stock 5 days after payment

I had been watching one jacket closely for months, finally ordered it at a great sale price the first day of the sales.
After I had placed my order, it was still possible to buy the jacket in several sizes.
Several days later I was told the product was out of stock and had to wait another few days to get a refund on my Paypal account.
I know this brand very well, the quality of their products is excellent, but had never ordered from their site so this is a very disappointing first experience.
