Wasn't told that insurance didn't cover them for moving furniture from upstairs, so had to struggle to bring stuff down to ground floor. Good job there weren't any large wardrobes or beds etc as I wouldn't have been able to get them down. As it was it was hard work, but the guys were very pleasant and helpful within their limitations.
really dreadful experience with a sofa delivered on the 3rd. Wish I had seen these reviews before ordering a high value item from Argos.
sofa arrived as promised but really was not good value, cheap and nasty, grey plastic legs etc (cost was over 770 GBP). Delivery guys said that there would be no problem returning it for a refund within 7 days. So, trustingly sent it back.
Have spoken to Argos Customer Services every day from the 3rd, they will not let me have my money back, I keep being told that there is a problem with their system which won't let them authorise a refund, has to be the technical department. Promised return phone calls, which have never happened. No reply to emails. Staff disinterested and ill informed.
I am moving house, can not move until I have a sofa and white goods, Argos are holding my money. There is no way I would recommend this shambles of a company. Nor will I spend any more of my money with them, as I intended, should I eventually get a refund.
I will be taking this to the Citizens Advice at the first available opportunity.
