Shame about their chosen courier, DPD, who delivered the first lighting fixture, taped up with "Fragile" tape, looking like it had just been in a train crash. Luckily Litecraft's customer service is excellent and a replacement was sent no quibble wrapped in yards of DPD-proof bubblewrap.
The app and the ability to read the bar codes on items to be sold makes compiling a sale order very simple and quick. The printing of parcel labels and guidance about packing them is also simple and the drop-off for collection service is very convenient. It all takes a few days but you're kept updated with progress emails so you're not left wondering what's happening.
I bought my daughter an Acer e1-531 with an additional 4GB of RAM dealer fitted that added just £40 to an already competitive price. Delivery was within two days and my only reservation was that it came loaded with Windows 8. Still, she's 7 and will get used to it faster than I will. I've set it up with two accounts, mine as an administrator and hers with parental controls which is essential as Windows 8 connects to everything left to its own devices.
The machine is outstanding value for money, brilliant screen and key board, excellent connectivity with 3 USB ports, card reader etc. etc. Just brilliant for the price, and I've just looked and they now ship the box with the extra 4GB of RAM installed for the same price as I paid a few weeks ago. I could be angry, but not even at the price I paid. At £329 it's a steal.
We ordered the Gamesson 5ft Blue L Foot Air Hockey Table at the end of November as a Christmas present for our 7 year old daughter who'd played as often as she could on holiday in the summer. Madfun had stock issues, but that's not surprising because their prices are very competitive. They kept us completely informed about expected stock-in dates, and were true to their word with early December delivery. As this was a Christmas present, and couldn't easily be hidden once unpacked, we stored it in the garage unchecked until Christmas Eve. Big mistake and never again with such a bulky, awkward item. On assembly we found that one corner was cracked, and there was a dent across the top of the table. We immediately photographed the damage and sent the photos to Madfun as evidence that the table hadn't been used prior to the damage being found. As their T & C requests that damage is reported within 48 hours of delivery, I was getting ready to do battle! No need, even before they were open after New Year we had received an apologetic email from Luisa Kendall at Madfun offering to replace the table, which is exactly what has happened this morning with a completely undamaged table delivered and the old one returned via their courier. This company and its people rate Five Stars, I've awarded four for the packaging of the Air Hockey table, which Gamesson need to make far more robust. I hope the expense is borne by them and not Madfun because that would not be fair.
