I recently bought 9 miele appliances including the new cva6431 nespresso coffee machine based on using the previous model as this one was not yet in the showroom but i was advised to purchase the new model. i called customer services ( after holding on for 20 minutes which I discovered is the average) as it did not make hot espresso or cappuccinos and kept switching off. The first very pleasant technician arrived and said it was a incorrectly set timer which resolved the the switching off. However, the first two espressos vary from around 42 degrees and 52 meaning I have to waste at least the first espresso pod and at this temperature the coffee is acidic as it is well below proper cooking temperature. If you use the longer coffee the second cup is around 60-62 degrees. The frother does not make the milk very hot and only produces around 1 Tbsp of froth. I called again (another 20 minutes) and another very obnoxious technician arrived and claimed as I had not provided him with parking he would leave despite the paid parking bays near my house. Another 20 minute call to Miele and various calls to the seller. They sent the same unpleasant character who, without tasting the coffee and only using water in the frother declared it to be working correctly. Online it states a good cappuccino is between 83-93 degrees but I've yet to get one above 62 so I have to microwave it. Another call ( 20 minutes) to Miele who, this time sent a very pleasant and competent technician who unfortunately does not drink coffee. He checked it again and after several cups of coffee determined that the water on a long( a setting on coffee machine) as he did not test the espresso setting emerges at 70 degrees meaning that once you've put your milk and or sugar the coffee is hot tap temperature of 60 odd degrees. Howver unlike the previous model this model cannot have the temperature adjusted and as far as Miele are concerned that acidic ( as it is if not cooked at the correct temperature) coffee is fine with them and that is that. The technician promised to replace the frothy milk container but after several weeks this has not arrived. So as long as it comes out the dispenser after 3-4 coffees are made Miele could not care less that this machine cannot make a decent espresso, coffee ( long setting) or cappuccino!
So if you want to waste your coffee pods, drink acidic tepid coffee and deal with a service mentality that does not consider the drink ability of their products output - choose Miele.
Further to my last review where where shed world delivered a shocking product and Prachi said I should call, well you can never get hold of her.
Worse still the bin store shelf was also missing and the latches can barely close as they are at different levels.
I am going to invoke my sale of goods rights due to there product being not fit for purpose and there lack of interest in any sort of liability or ethics.
My almost £300 wheelie bin store arrived late in the evening in the pouring rain and darkness. As I was in the middle of Christmas preparations I called a handyman to assemble it. When the wrapping was off it looked fine. I went off to do my final food shopping for just over and hour and when I came back it was covered in green mould. I called Shedworld (part of world stores) who claimed it was my problem as I had assembled it and I would have to de- assemble it. I was to take pictures and they would send it to their supplier as it was their responsibility.
This means they take no responsibility for checking it before it was sent and I have to pay another £50 to a handyman ( I cannot do it myself) and wait until the new year to get another one then pay another £50 to assemble another one which would cost me £150. So, in summary DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Worldstores.co.uk as they take no responsibility for their shocking 'customer service'.
We never received our computers. Dixons refuse to resend.. If you want to lose out on your Christmas - choose Dixons. Currys is the same company so expect the same response. As a high income earner they will lose out on about 30 years of potential expenditure. Be aware they take NO responsibility for delivery - anyone can sign for it or the delivery staff can fake your signature. They do not bother to give goods to person who orders - they do not have any regard for good business practice.
They deserve their abysmal rating. Based on their response so far I doubt they care! I hope they go the same way as the other chains that have closed - it's what they deserve.
They are utterly useless. I don't order from companies that use yodel as they are so hopeless. The last time they erroneously left the hugest parcel that I couldn't pick up and all my calls and requests to get them to pick it up and deliver it to the nursery school it was intended for was to no avail. Plus there is no-one around on the weekends to take the calls.
They send out whatever they think can take the place of what they have online. Then so far, it has been 10 days since I placed my last order and I have received nothing yet!!! The excuse - backlog from Xmas and New Year. Well then at least HAVE THE COURTESY to inform your customers. I have had to buy some of these items as I cannot wait this long and then I have to send them back again.
I will NEVER order from them again. There are dozens of these types of online cosmetic companies that are FAR better. Don't waste your time or MONEY!!!
