Looked online for what we needed - went to Warrington to purchase. Ordered and then collected from Leigh as delivery costs a joke for what we wanted. Was told Leigh was just 7 miles away....nearer 20. Got there - staff seemed pleasant enough and was told we would wait 10-20 minutes.....after 45 I went and asked what was going on. 'Sorry about that - we had our Christmas night out last night and some haven't turned up - feeling rough myself - it'll be out soon. Another 20 mins and the warehouse/picker guy said - when WE asked - that it hadn't come through to pick yet. EVENTUALLY our good came out. On inspection the sink was finished to a poor standard - so off he went - 10 minutes later another sink arrived with paint drips under the 'enamel' - eventually one arrived that seemed ok. When our builder took the sink out of the box the paint/'enamel' was flaking off in his hands. So I rang the customer services and they told me to go to Leigh and they will look at it. Off I went -26 miles there - I was only person waiting - 45 minutes later the sink arrived. Off home I went - 26 miles. When the taps were fitted to the sink they leaked from the tap itself. So I rang the customer services again - who told me to go to Leigh and they would test it - I asked to take it to Warrington as that is it where I purchased it - to be told that as I collected from Leigh that's where I would have to go and to be sure the products are ok I should check them before leaving the showroom.....how do I check whether a tap leaks?? Lady checked and yes they have facility to test it. So off we went - 26 miles to Leigh. 'No we don't test them here - sorry but they shouldn't have told you that'. After some back and forth the sales assistant where I demanded a refund he said if we wanted it tested he would have to go to another site and did we want that? We said yes and he huffed - got his high vis jacket and walked out. Eventually he returned and said that our card would be refunded - no 'yes you were right - it was faulty -sorry for the inconvenience -it'll take a few days to go into your account'. That was the extent of his customer service...amazing high standards? The ONLY person who had any sense of good customer service was a girl by the name of Emma in the accounts dept (i believe) who called me late that day to explain when the money would be back etc. In ONE day I did OVER 104 miles due to the cheap faulty goods sold by Better Bathrooms. And the amount of time stood waiting - due to the lack of responsibility of the staff who got too drunk on their night out -is a joke. Would I use or recommend this company - NO - and our builder who has contracts with the countries 2 leading DIY retailers would certainly not recommend them either. Pay a bit extra and get a higher quality product and save the time and mileage you will no doubt do going for replacements or refunds.
