I had my 6 month check up in Chelmsford last month. It had been cancelled and rearranged due to staff being told they were being made redundant and therefore not available. That said I was seen by the same person who had done my previous checkups. On this occasion I had a number of concerns that I wanted addressed including problems with night vision/glare and lack of improvement in my left eye. I went through them all and the response I received was 'I'm not going to recommend more surgery' (I had not said I wanted this) and 'What do you want me to say?' I went into the appointment seeking reassurances and came out with none. I left feeling angry and upset. I was offered another appointment in a further 6 months and it felt like that was just to get me to leave. I paid in excess of £4000 for a treatment that hasn't delivered the results I was led to expect and the dismissive attitude of Ultralase staff on this occasion was unacceptable. I will be writing formally to complain.
