What I thought to be a simple, straightforward experience turned into a merry-go-round of bureaucratic nightmares. I made a purchase on Asda direct via Quidco. The purchase was made in June 2012. I only received the cashback in Jan 2013. My experience with Quidco as follows -
- A very complicating and hard-to-find customer service "contact us". The website is designed to deter any out-of-the-ordinary questions. I managed to randomly find a phone number in the end, and that helped speed up my issue.
- Unclear description of solution. For my issue, I was informed that only one person handles the Asda account and this person is either always away or on holidays. As a customer, it's least of my concern on how the relationship between ASDA and Quidco is managed. The result was appalling.
- Calculation glitch. At some point during my already-escalated issue, the total amount due to me suddenly reduced without any reason. Once again, I had to raise a concern. I had two different customer service saying two different things. It seems there's a communication breakdown within Quidco team, or Customer service is not trained enough to assess the issue before responding.
All this said, this is my personal experience with Quidco and I shall leave them as soon as I have been paid for MY hard work.
