First Furniture

lack of delivery information

I ordered the bedhead on a Thursday, at about 12.30 p.m., and immediately received a confirmation email, but no info regarding delivery date. As I have already had a dreadful experience with Furniture123 (who have now gone into administration and taken my money with them!) I was naturally anxious. I telephoned Firstfurniture the next morning, and was told that as I had made the order after 11 a.m. the day before, my order would not be delivered until Monday, but that I would get an email later that day confirming this. No email arrived, nor on Saturday, Sunday nor on Monday morning, so I telephoned again at 10.30. I was told that the item was coming directly from the manufacture and was due for a p.m. delivery that day. I put the phone down and, lo and behold, 5 minutes later there was a knock at my door with the bedhead! I had been planning to go out briefly, to be back for the afternoon delivery - good thing I didn't. Because of my previous experience, my first reaction was sheer relief that I had got what I had paid for, plus I am delighted with it, but on reflection I was cross at the lack of delivery information. Several days after delivery, my account was still showing "awaiting delivery". Would I use them again? Erm.........
