Hmmm. No one's home? I'll turf it over the fence!

That is what the Hermes delivery driver decided would be a sensible thing to do with a Dyson vacuum cleaner I had ordered as a housewarming gift. His card was only populated with "over side gate" next to the "Not Home so I did xyz" The side gate is 7 feet high...

No name, number, any identifying anything. I complained to John Lewis who was the retailer I used. They sent a new Dyson ... with a different courier. I would never use Hermes out of choice and will be scouring online retailers to ensure THEY don't, either!

Whatever happened to leaving a card for collection, for the love of pete???
