I was really pleased to find a great deal that combined a hotel close to Gatwick and parking for the three days we were out of the country. The price was great as airport parking can be expensive and to save us having to get up at 3am we thought the hotel part of the package great as well. We had a very good nights sleep and woke excited that we could get to the airport quickly in time for some breakfast and a look round. Unfortunately our experience at airparks wasn't great. Dropping the car off was fine but checking in took a long time about 15 mins which meant as we walked out of the door to board the bus just to see it pull away early according the timetable on the website. The next bus soon turned up and we were first on and it filled up quickly but the driver seemed to walk round the bus 3 or 4 times doing various tests only to leave 10 minutes later than what the timetable said (so about 50 mins after we had parked the car!). To compound this delay the bus went to the north terminal first where the website timetable stated it would go to the south terminal first therefore adding another 10 minutes or so to our journey. This all meant that once we had queued to check in and go through passport control we ended up having to rush to get to our gate. The whole experience really deflated the beginning to our special trip. Disappointed.
