My dear friend contacted me to thank me for the flowers and when I asked her what they were like, as spending £53.83 I wanted the truth. She told me that the flowers looked as though they had been plonked in a vase, she though a neighbour had put them there, and left on her doorstep as she was out. I bought, or thought I had bought, an aqua bouquet and the picture looked so virbant an good, I would have been very pleased to have received it myself. However, there was no nice paper wrapping, they were in a vase that looked as if it was second hand, and some of the flowers were 'tired'. It was so bad even her husband commented on the poor quality of the flowers.
My friend was embarassed at having to tell me this, I was embarassed at having to hear this which developed into me being angry and upset. The delivery was supposed to have been a lovely surprise for her instead it had the reverse. She was upset that at the thought that I had paid a substantial amount of money for the flowers, when in fact I could have gone down to the local supermarket and bought a bunch of flowers for a fraction of the price which would have been better.
This experience has done nothing to instill confidence in using eflorist. I only hope they deal with my complaint effectively.
