Does anyone actually fit into DPD's basic delivery service. How many people can be at home on a week day from 7.30am to 7.30pm and still be able to afford to buy things!!
I received an email from the company I bought the item off saying my item had been despatched for next day delivery. I didn't receive any communication from DPD, I had no idea of the time so couldn't get someone to come round to my house. I couldn't just take time off work at such short notice, so the delivery 'attempt' was a bit of a joke really. I couldn't even re-arrange delivery for another day for the same reasons! I had no option but to pick the item up myself from the 'local' depot 28 miles away, but I had to wait the next day to do this! The only positive was that the people at the depot were extremely helpful and efficient and helped me to fit the bulky item in my car. Overall very dissappointed. I think this company is only set up for delivering items to businesses and not to domestic/residential customers.
The computer is a very good standard and as ordered. Everything provided as promised. I would recommend PC Specialist Ltd. However I wouldn't recommend the delivery company which was used and I was very dissappointed with them. The only way I could get my computer was to stay at home for 12 hours during working hours Monday to Friday or to pick it up myself from 28 miles away (hardly local) or pay extra to narrow down the delivery time. They didn't even tell me when they were making the first 'delivery' attempt, so I didn't even get the option to try and be at home! For such an expensive item, I would expect better.
