Disappointing...

I recently purchased a gift for my finance's 30th birthday. Having viewed numerous websites and looking for either a 1983 vintage or a 30 year old, I settled on a 1983 Glenlivet's vaunted Cellar Collection with a French Oak finish.

Having reviewed the whisky on various websites I found the Whisky Exchange to have the best value and running a January offer! Great news I thought, but having received the item which I spent over £100 on I found out that it did not come with its display box! When I rang the Whisky Exchange I was told it didn't come with one and that was why it was on offer and I could return the item at my own cost! Whilst the website did not advert the box it, it did not comment that the item came without. As this is a present I found the whole experience disappointing and now am faced with a bottle costing over £100 on its own as gift! Rubbish!
