Poor Service, late, unreliable

Absolutely the worst delivery company ever used.

First of all received a text at a ridiculously early time in the morning waking me up stating delivery would be between 10:13am and 11:13am.

A few hours after 11:13 still no parcel attempted to contact the company to get an update all automated no way to talk to somebody direct.

16:10pm so 5 hours later a taxi man arrived outside the house with a car full of goods including the expensive laptop i had ordered. After speaking to the taxi driver he informed me that DPD use his taxi company regularly as they do not have enough drivers to deliver the goods and when explaining to him that the parcel was suppose to be here between 10 and 11 he stated that DPD never tell them when they are supposed to have delivered the goods they just load the taxi up and send them on there way.

So a few questions for DPD

Why bother texting a time of arrival if you are not going to meet it?

Why are you using untrained people who work for a taxi firm not even for your company to deliver expensive goods without the proper equipment (my laptop was rambling around on the back seat of a taxi with a number of other goods that weren't properly secured could have been damaged or stolen easily)?

How are you securing contracts with large firms for deliveries when you clearly can't meet basic delivery standards?

I have logged a formal complaint with Currys about your poor service and in future will be making sure the company I order my goods from do not use you as a delivery company.

Do not usually complain or bother writing reviews but never experienced anything so shockingly awful.

I know you will probably do nothing about it but just wanted to let people know how poor you are as a company.
