I order a lot of things online, and occasionally try other Companies.
However, despite my disagreement in their UK Tax affairs, I still keep coming back. You get what you pay for and in a good time.
The only time there was a problem (1 out of 200+ orders) the issue was emotive to me (wrong shoes for my Wedding) but sorted out eventually. The size was not transferred from US size to UK size and 3 pairs sent with the same problem.
Other than that I am very happy with the price and delivery of items.
Other Companies just do not compare. In terms of online multi channel shopping, size counts; and no one is bigger than Amazon.
27th Dec ordered £296 of goods that were "in stock" and delivered 4-6 working days. Payment was taken immediately and an order invoice received. At this point I thought all was good as the items were in stock, I had a delivery estimate and payment was taken.
When the delivery estimate passed with no contact from WAE I contacted them asking for a reason. It turns out they hadn't sent the order as they didn't have the item. It turns out they never had the item and didn't know when they would.
I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money at this point as I couldn't wait for an unforseeable amount of time. After a number of e-mails in which I had to forcefully explain I wanted a refund and did not want to wait, they cancelled my order. They didn't tell me they had, I had to continuously log on to find out.
Over a week later and no refund; bearing in mind they took money immediately. I contacted them again to ask for my money or I would have to formally complain to trading standards. They return my e-mail stating that the investigation had just been completed (very convenient of them) as if to imply that was the reason I didn't have my money (no fore-knowledge of this investigation), but I would have to wait until they pay me in accordance to T&Cs from this point.
I had read reviews like this and ignored them, thinking they must be rare. I wish I had of listened.
