Although only having one experience with the company, I can safely say I'm a bona fide Cult Beauty customer!
I could spend hours (and wages!) looking at the products, several of which I had never heard of or can be hard to source online. The website is clean and mostly a breeze to navigate.
I ordered 3 beautiful little products and was given the choice of up to 3 samples for free. The order arrived quickly and hassle free and I am already choosing my next products!
I'm now a real fan and would recommend to anyone.
As a first time customer I had reservations about ordering from an unfamiliar seller. I purchased one bottle of OPI "Ate Berries in the Canneries" (a marvelous shade that brings joy to my fingertips) through Demon Beauty via Amazon.
I paid around £7.50 for the nail varnish itself and around £1.50 for postage (approximate prices), so for less than the standard price of one OPI nailvarnish (and a bus fare into town!) it was delivered to my door within the week.
I doubted that this could be a genuine OPI product but after comparing it to my other OPI's and wearing the shade for a couple of days my fears have mostly been laid to rest. The creme gloss formula seems to be consistent with what I expect from OPI, the wear also withstood three days of work. The packaging is very similar to my other OPI's, the only difference being the bottle top. This could be due to the fact that the shade belongs to a 2009 collection and OPI have since updated their packaging.
As for the colour, while it is beautiful, it is definitely more purple than the swatches I have seen online. However so many things could account for this - different top coats, camera flashes, natural light vs. indoor lighting etc. I owned this shade around 2 years ago when it first came out and vaguely remember it being more pink than purple but my memory, to be quite honest, is not the steel trap I like to think it is! The shade is almost an exact dupe of Estee Lauder Pure Colour in "Sweet Pea".
Irregardless, I am fully satisfied with the transaction and am in fact looking at the website to place another order right now! I had no problems with delivery, and did not need to contact them at all. The package arrived with a £2 discount voucher for the website which is a generous and clever gift as for nail varnish addicts like myself it will not be wasted!
Overall I would recommend Demons Beauty to family, friends and internet strangers :)
The last thing I bought from Boohoo was a simple black, off-the-shoulder mini dress for £12. I had a friends birthday coming up and had this idea for a look that I couldn't get out of my head. I just needed one thing: a black, off-the-shoulder mini dress.
I had the House of Harlow earrings and the Estée Lauder magenta nail varnish. I nipped to tesco for 60 denier tights and my faithful Topshop block ankle boots were ever present. I had all these things 3 days before the night out but I didn't have the exact type of black dress that I could see in my head.
No worries, I'll just get onto what (I believe) is essentially the Internet equivalent of Primark - Boohoo.com! Same disposable value but even MORE fashion forward allowing me to nail a trend at the click off a button. I don't have to schlepp into town on the off chance I'll find what I'm looking for (unlikely for a perfectionist such as myself) or worse panic buying something much more expensive!
Great choice, great prices and I don't begrudge paying extra for next day delivery when it's so cheap to begin with.
So whether you're unsure about pulling off a certain look and need some fashionable "practice pieces", or like me, when you know what you want and you just need it NOW! -
Boohoo.com ticks all the boxes :)
