Really surprised how bad my last experience was

I ordered from Justeat a few days ago. The food arrived late and stone cold. We complained to Justeat as their site says they will sort a refund if it arrives cold or late. I haven't had any reply and all this has changed how I order. I no longer want to order through justeat or that particular takeaway. So I am now down in pocket and furious about how justeat has ignored me.

I love Amazon

I have been using Amazon for years. It is fast, reliable, good prices, some great items and good customer service. When there is a problem (It is always the company who delivers that is the problem) Amazon are quick to help and sort it. Always polite and friendly and I couldn't fault them.


Ruined birthday

14th - I buy an item on Amazon. Click next day delivery. Tracker for the item says it at the depo (not the nearest depo either.) I get an email saying it will be with me the next day.

15th - No parcel. At 11:26pm I decide maybe I can get another update if I arrange the delivery for the 16th. A few minutes later it tells me it will be with me on the 16th and it is now at a closer depo.

16th - No parcel, I call DPD, I get that irritating automated message and couldn't speak to a real person. (Seriously? Have the people who work there never felt that irritated feeling when being stuck with an automated message? We want to talk to REAL people!) So I call Amazon, A real person! At last! they said they will contact DPD and email me the response.

17th - I get the email from the good real people at Amazon saying that my parcel was handed to the wrong driver and that if he can he will deliver my parcel but there may be a delay.... oh no parcel but I'm betting you guessed that one already.

18th - Still no parcel. The item was supposed to be a birthday present for the other half's sister. Her birthday is on the 20th. What am I supposed to do? Turn up on the day with nothing and say ''Well I did get you something, but DPD gave it to the wrong driver so looks like you won't be getting that present I promised you.''

Well done DPD, Well done.
