Booked a holiday at Mylor Bridge Cornwall via this agency last year - the brochure said parking for one car - the space was only just large enough for a mini at best and the owners had the cheek to state in their visitors book to park in the busy road if you had a problem parking. Once we had overcome the death trap toilet seat and cleaned up the dog food left on the can opener, not forgetting the burned egg remains at the bottom of a milk saucepan, we proceeded to enjoy the cottage and surrounding area.
Will never book a holiday with these people again.
Recently searched their web site for Christmas gifts & made a list of what I found. Off I went to my local depot, EVERYTHING on the list was not on the shelves (out of stock?) and no staff were to be seen ANYWHERE in the store. What a way to run a company.
I ordered 16 packs of feather edge board to clad my large shed. The ordering procedure was a doddle and everything arrived on the prearranged day as expected. The driver even helped to carry the boards to where I wanted them rather than leaving them at the kerb. Thank you driver. When required, I would definitely buy from again.
A bit hit and miss in the past, now delivering for Amazon. My order got listed as delayed due to carrier problem without any further explanation or revised delivery date. Not very clever when you take a day off without pay to receive. Anyway, the parcel WAS delivered on its due day after urgent intervention by the sender.
I now see another parcel from Amazon is being delivered by Yodel for me.
This 2nd parcel is also delayed. It is now the delivery day and the parcel has gone from a 'possible delay' to 'is delayed' to 'out for delivery' - all with parcel delayed on display. I guess it WILL arrive today, I have an email confirmation from Yodel confirming this, but what a very confusing system they use. Anyway, once daylight ends, my house becomes virtually impossible to find and yet, having given up all hope of receiving a delivery long ago, the door bell rang at 7.30pm it was Yodel with my parcel. Having slagged off their performance/deliveries recently, I am very pleased to say they certainly came up trumps today. A big 'SORRY' to Yodel from me.
However, you dont pick up loads of single stars and so many disgruntled customers if nothings wrong, they seem totally incapable of putting thing right too.
I tried a compatible cartridge for the first time. it arrived extremely fast and to my surprise actually works just as well as the branded ones (hopefully it will last as long). If it does, I will be buying all my compatible cartridges for here in future. Unbeatable on price, delivery and quality.
Booked on a flight soon with Monarch for the first time, so watch this space. So far had no problems booking on line. Had return flight altered by Monarch recently (brought forward by about 4 hours) which is of little concern apart from costing me a fee from National Express after changing my coach to suit the new flight time. However, planes were immaculately clean, staff friendly & helpful. A joy to travel with & long may it continue. I should add that leg room for a six footer is adequate unless the seat in front gets reclined.
UPDATE:- Changed return flight AGAIN, incurring another extra charge by Nat Express. Still this is a budget airline and overall the costs WERE minimal, I wonder how they actually make a profit.
I guess you always get what you pay for. Never travelled with National Express before, so made a mistake when booking seats to Gatwick (I booked via Heathrow) I immediately realised my mistake but still got charged a re booking fee less than 5 minutes later. Now the airline has changed its return slot and another re booking fee has been paid to National Express. I suppose thats the way they make a profit, but............
Watch for an update after my trip - at the moment Im not impressed.
Just returned and the entire outward & return journey's were an absolute joy, both coaches were spotlessly clean and VERY comfortable (for a six footer).
Both drivers couldn't do enough to help with loading/unloading luggage and were extremely friendly and their arrival times were spot on. This for me, relegated the re-booking fees into total insignificance.
If you want help out of warranty, it seems you are on your own.
Having purchased a HP C8180 Photosmart printer ( it will be the first and last HP product I ever buy) The software CD supplied in the box was faulty, their CS sorted me out over the phone. Having completely re installed |Windows following a fault, I was back to square one with a faulty software CD which rendered the printer useless, but HP can only be contacted if still within the warranty period. Not good enough HP, thats the way to lose customers.
Have bought from them for a few years, Products have deteriorated somewhat over this time. Initially everything was fine, then gradually, more and more items were being replaced or credit notes issued. I am now being bombarded with winning prize postings - these go straight in the bin. I doubt if I will buy from again.
Well Ive had no problem with my one and only order a year or so ago. It was to replace the drawer runners to a set of drawers that were in desperate need of replacement. This was the only site that seemed to stock the ones I needed. Ordered and arrived quickly and were fitted within minutes. Maybe they had staff leave, but my experience was faultless.
Had an awning now for 2 years. Arrived very fast, I decided to upgrade the supplied fixing bolts with better ones. Followed the supplied instructions to the letter and had no problems at all. The fringe is removable for winter storage/cleaning. Overall a very, very good buy, certainly well below the competition. If anyone is looking for an awning (powered or manual) you need look no further.
Parcels get delivered but tracking often says still in depot. Not acceptable in cases where recipient can claim for non delivery. When faced with a complaint, they just say "Oh well, it arrived OK then. Nothing else we can do". I would suggest pulling your socks up before you go out of business. It doesnt take too many disgruntled customers to achieve this end. Its a good job I used a prepaid system, otherwise I would be very annoyed.
Nothing further to report following contact (see below), however, I have upgraded my opinion rating accordingly from one star.
Ive used Myhermes a few times and have had absolutely no problems. Things get collected on time and delivered on time, all for a reasonable cost.
I guess the problems could well start and end with the delivery person. If you get a 'couldnt care less' one, the service will be rubbish. Personally, I have a good one.
Been with them for 2 years, had one problem with faulty router - took ages before they would accept that I needed a replacement which eventually arrived. Recently had 2 calls to a mobile charged to my account , fortunately they only totalled 52p but what annoys me is that CS are adamant that they were made from my phone (only living thing that was at home that day was my dog).
Check out the feedback for BT.com - its even worse than these people, otherwise I would consider changing myself.
Purchased a bathroom suite from in store (you would not believe the hassle this caused ). Anyway, order placed, then we start :- Their recorded phoned messages concerning delivery were a complete joke. When my plumber arrived to fit, he found the toilet cistern innards leaked and needed another one urgently. Phoned store where it was ordered and was rudely told to look on page 3 of the paperwork, they then hung up on me. I phoned back to check if they stocked spares but they didn't. Off I went to a local plumbers merchant and returned with the part needed at extra cost. A couple of weeks later and I eventually managed to get a replacement spare cistern from Homebase via their supplier. Originally, I was told that as I had obtained a replacement, I didn't need another one from them, I did get one after reminding them that I had actually paid them for a working unit and expected to be supplied what was ordered in a working condition.
Will I return? not until the world freezes over.
By the way, anyone know why they list products that are far, far cheaper than anywhere else but out of stock in all stores over the UK, then a few days later remove them from their web pages? I used their email 'advise when in stock' system - just received 3 messages saying 'Unfortunately we have not yet received further stocks of this product'.
I buy an awfui lot of stuff from Amazon (too much if I'm honest). I do so because Amazon's reputation as far as I'm concerned is 2nd to none. Products arrive on time (or earlier) are exactly as described and any problems are immediately sorted out to my complete satisfaction. I always check other suppliers for price & availability before ordering, but usually end up ordering from Amazon anyway. I have NEVER had a totally bad experience with anything purchased from Amazon.
Over the years, Ive sent flowers from Bloomindelightful, twice to cousins for their 80th birthday and once for a funeral. On each occasion they arrived on time and were top quality. I can only speak as I find, but I have no complaints whatsoever.
Like all the other reviewers, I thought I was dealing with a reputable UK based supplier, not a 'fly by night' from Hong Kong (whats the co.uk all about then?). I also thought I was buying an original battery, not an alternative compatible one (see their disclaimer). Strangely, I received a spoof email from 'Paypal' alleging a transaction problem within minutes of placing my order.
I have now attempted to make contact to cancel the transaction but the seller seems very reluctant to respond, a Paypal dispute is now raised and will escalate to a full claim ASAP. Fortunately the amount involved is minimal, so I'm not overly concerned whether I get a refund or not - just putting this down to experience, although any reputable seller would offer a refund as standard practice.
My advice to prospective customers - steer well clear of this crowd, they sell cheap compatible batteries and go to ground when trying to contact them. So much for Michael's comments about trustworthiness etc.
Since posting this 3 hours ago, these people still have made no contact with me at all (apart from the reply here - which is NOT the place to do so) I have now checked my paypal account and find that I have been refunded 100% of my cost. I guess alls well that ends well, but I will not be returning. Just check out the date/timings of their replies to some of these reviews - too little too late !
Having purchased from Handles4doors before, I knew what to expect in terms of delivery, quality of product etc.
I ordered another set of door handles which arrived with a minor fault. Within 24 hours Handles4doors had arranged for a replacement set to be delivered. Top marks for customer satisfaction.
