The Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff ∏ seems to be built to bombproof standards - a definite improvement on the Behringer Bass Overdrive my daughter has been using with her Ibanez GSR200L for the past two years. However any bass player using this stompbox for the first time, will have to take their time tweaking the various settings to gain a full understanding of what it can actually do: the instructions could have been rather more comprehensively written in this reviewer's opinion!

Alas the pedal we received may also have to be returned for replacement? Maybe it's just a quirk of the design, but the signal appears to be cutting out whenever the volume control is turned to maximum.
