After ordering something online and paying the extra for next day delivery I was very annoyed to learn that my parcel had been sent from the depot in Preston to Leeds, completely the opposite direction in which my parcel was meant to go, it was then sent back to Preston the same day however when I was informed of this it was apparently impossible to deliver my parcel until 3 days later. I emailed the company I bought the product from they kindly refunded me my delivery charge however after emailing DPD I still have no reply or explanation as to how they could be so negligent with my item when this is something they deal with on a large scale. Needless to say I am very annoyed and do not recommend DPD to any business or individual wanting to send parcels anywhere as they are completely unreliable from my experience and obviously from the countless negative reviews I have read.
I am still awaiting my parcel and an explanation/formal apology from DPD as they have ruined my weekend. I needed the item by the specified date as after this weekend the item is useless to me, if I didn't mind when the parcel was being delivered I wouldn't have paid the extra costs (I must also say the rescheduled delivery date was not arranged with me and nobody attempted to contact me on behalf of DPD to check whether it was convenient which I must add it is not)., so now not only am I awaiting a now useless item, I am out of pocket as obviously to return the item I will have to pay for postage.
