In the past,I've bought an Op Zulu Police Patrol bag and more recently,a pair of Magnum viper pro boots from Patrol Store.
Despite the boots having an immediate fault,which was an inconvenience but not the fault of Patrol Store,I had to send them back,initially at my own cost.
Pretty much immediately,I was reimbursed fully and a new pair of boots arrived within a couple of days.
I find that a good test of a company is in their customer service when things go wrong.
After my experience,I won't hesitate in ordering from Patrol Store again
I initially bought my sofa (a two seater Jazz club in cognac) blind as I hadn't heard of the company before.Unlike me,I hadn't researched Made.com,but liked their prices ,variety and style.
I was well aware of the long wait,but this wasn't an issue as the two seater was an extra,so no issues.
After I placed the order though and doing some research,I became aware of the negative feedback regarding lack of communication ,regular updates and other issues.
I must be honest and say that the whole experience was pretty much hassle free.There was an initial delay in receiving an email about the eta of my order.However when this was queried,my email was replied to promptly and with the information that I needed.
I then received several emails to update me and then a final email with details of the courier.I then made a delivery appointment and was given a rough time for delivery.
Two chaps from the courier company arrived after ringing me first thing in the morning and then about an hour before arriving.They arrived promptly,were very friendly and removed and took all of the packaging away.They also briefed me about the legs being concealed inside the sofa.The sofa itself was very well packaged in its own cardboard box.
The sofa itself was fantastic and was absolutely worth the wait.
If you are prepared to wait,I would highly recommend from my experience.
All I can say to made.com is communication is everything.Customers need plenty of updates and if things go wrong,we need to be able to get in touch with you quickly and have any issues resolved promptly.
A good experience overall and I would happily use them again.
**An update from 28th January,2014**
I've now noticed that the stitching on one of the arms is missing several stitches.This hasn't affected anything as such,but I would recommend really scrutinising your purchase very,very closely!
I bought a motion detecting,twin halogen lamp after researching various sites and sewing that FFX were the cheapest stockists.
After I placed the order,I was kept updated as to the status,via e-mail,which I value.
My order arrived in a few days.The packaging was very slightly ripped,but there was no damage whatsoever to the product itself.
Installation was very easy and it works perfectly.
Overall,a very good experience.I would definitely recommend FFX and would use them again,as long as they remain competitive.
