I sent a parcel to Germany, collected on 31st December, which took over a week to be delivered, but it was just after Christmas and New Year still to come, so pretty well as could be expected. It was collected for return on 17th Jan, and was scheduled to be delivered today, Mon 21st Jan, which it was at 10;19 on a snow covered route. Well done!
In view of previous reviews I didn't rely on the doorbell, left the outer door open, and heard the driver banging the inner one. The only downside was that I was given a tracking number from Germany, but it wasn't identified by UK system. I rang the sender and was advised to go to the German website at www.dpd.de where it was possible to select 'English' and tracking information was then available. I supposed it's not unreasonable to have to wait until it has arrived in the UK before it has been registered on the system here, but that's not the fault of DPD that I wasn't advised.of that. On the whole a good result.
