We had been thinking about ordering the Rivermead Coffee Table via the Oakfurnitureland website for a few weeks but weren't ready due to various jobs going on in the house. When we came to order, the delivery time was 3-5 weeks, which although disappointing, would have been worth the wait.
Following our order, we received a phone call from a customer service rep saying that if we took out the insurance, we would get a free £14.99 tin of wax (which we needed anyway) and also a free delivery upgrade to receive the coffee table within 7 days. That evening, we received a phone call from the courier offering us delivery just 4 days after the date of order...amazing.
We're thoroughly delighted with the coffee table, however, there is a ding on the one corner. I believe a repair specialist is coming to try repairing it and if they can, we'll be well pleased.
We are now looking at placing an order for £1600+ worth of furniture, so long as the ding in the coffee table gets dealt with efficiently.
We have been a customer of PetPlanet for a couple of years and have ordered a wide variety of products from them in this time. When we first started using PetPlanet, the delivery and service was absolutely excellent, however, this time, I must say I am so disappointed. We placed an order on 30th September, and when phoning to query delivery, I was told the order would be despatched within 2 days and delivery would be next day.
The order was finally despatched FOUR DAYS after I placed the order and has been put on a 48 hour courier service, meaning by the time it arrives, it will have been SEVEN DAYS from the date of order. Furthermore, the order wasn't for anything big and bulky, just some dog toys and a bowl for our new dog!
This is absolutely disgraceful and I will not be using PetPlanet again. Such a shame because as I said, we have been customers for some time.

Have used scan for years as my sole supplier of IT products for my customers, however, I am seriously disappointed with the total lack of customer support on this occasion.
Scan advertised an item on special offer which later turned out to be out of stock due to a stock level discrepancy. The first email from Scan was very vague, claiming that they were so busy they hadn't been able to get all orders out. I gave them a couple of days and heard nothing, only to be told that it was not due to the warehouse being busy, but the item I had ordered was out of stock and would be for the foreseeable future. I was not offered a replacement product (even though Scan had taken my money) and was told if I wanted a replacement, I'd have to pay the difference or have a full refund. This is unacceptable.
Refund received and all is well.
I buy items like this online mainly so that I don't have to put up with the hard sell for insurance products offered by the likes of currys.
I placed my order with AppliancesOnline and within 15 minutes I received a phone call supposedly to check the details of my order. This was actually a sales pitch to try and get me to take out their insurance making 90...YES 90 monthly payments of £10 per month....are you kidding???
When I said I would need to check with my wife first, the guy on the phone mentioned that I'd get a 30 day free trial. When I said I'd still need to talk to my wife first, he sounded really confused and said he'd ring me back later that day...needless to say, I ignored the following phone calls from this company.
Delivery was on time, and I liked being kept informed (even if the driver did ring me at 7AM), although I've still not fitted the items but they look good.
So....for the products, the website, the delivery, 5 stars absolutely. For the hard sales pitch that I didn't ask for, 1 star.
We were enticed to use Ocado because we purchased an appliance which came with a money off voucher (although we had to spend £80 to use the voucher!). Our delivery arrived at 9:40PM on Sunday night and the bread products in particular (we're talking hovis loafs and pre packed branded baps, not fresh bread), has a best before date of the day they were delivered and the following day (i.e. 2.5 hours after delivery). The fruit we ordered was a best before date of the Tuesday as did the fresh meat.
This is a prime example of why online grocery shopping with NEVER work - it's just a convenient mechanism for these shops to farm off their end of life crap on customers that don't have time to go to the shop.
We will never use Ocado again and will stick to the likes of Asda!
Deleted all of our companies reviews without any warning. We have now gone from being number 2 in our catagory to not even on the list. Absolutely disgusting service and we will not be using trustpilot anymore.
All of our reviews were left by genuine customers, all verified with order numbers and have been fairly lengthy reviews - not typical one liners that fake reviews have, so I do not understand why trustpilot would do this without any consultation beforehand.
We actually started using trustpilot after recommendations from a number of friends, however, we will now be recommending to our friends and customers to never touch TrustPilot.
