I have had to make numerous phone calls to DPD today and they are now saying I need to contact the sender to raise a missing parcel claim and get the parcel re-sent.
The parcel was out for delivery yesterday but was apparently returned to their warehouse due to the weather conditions (we've had snow here) To be honest im amazed by this as my road was snowy but the main roads were fine. I only found this out, as when I checked online, the parcel showed 'delivery attempt not successful'. When I spoke to a girl on the phone yesterday, she assured me, that she would put a note on the system for the parcel to be re-delivered today and I gave her my phone number so that I could meet the driver at the end of the drive should he have problems getting into the close.
When I checked the online tracking this morning and it still said 'warehouse' I rang them to ask why it wasn’t out for delivery and they said they would need to contact their warehouse and to call back in an hour. I rang back in an hour to be told they were still scanning and to call back in half an hour. I rang called them again, to be told as far as they are concerned the parcel needs to be considered lost and I need to contact the sender.
I find it utterly unacceptable that since my parcel was recived at their warehouse yesterday, it has since been lost?! AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!!!!
I need the parcel urgently, so it is not only cost but the fact im sure a replacement wont just be sent out immediately. DPD's attitude is just shocking.
