Worried reading SO MANY negative reviews but.....

I was doing the usual Xmas research, looking online for the cheapest priced pressies and couldn't find cheaper than Zavvi (especially for a new PS3 game that was £10 cheaper), but when I started reading up on the company there seemed very few customers who were pleased and I'll be honest - this REALLY put me off.

After much deliberation and knowing I could save much more than a tenner buying from Zavvi, I decided to put my faith in them and ordered over £80's worth of presents.

My goods were ordered on the 18th Dec and dispatched on the 19th Dec, 3 out of 4 items arrived promptly, packaged well and exactly as described, thinking back to those bad reviews I started panicking about the 4th item, the main PS3 game my son desperately wanted! I shouldn't have worried though, it did arrive, albeit late (after Xmas) but as I had left ordering so close to Xmas I really couldn't complain.

So, I thought it was important to stress to potential readers that we can all complain about a company's bad customer service if we think about all the times we've been wronged. Only this week I spoke to a Tesco Mobile live chat person via their website and had received very good advice, I had to use the service again the same afternoon and had the most appalling woman give me the wrong information (opposite to what her colleague had advised) and then finished the chat window without giving me a proper answer and without asking if I was happy with the help I had received, she just closed the chat down! Yet I weigh up the pro's and con's as I would with any company and would still recommend Tesco mobile to any of my family or friends.

It's good to be on your guard ordering from companies online, but you are protected by the Sales of Goods Act and the Distant Selling Regulations, it's also good for you to threaten 'any' company with Trading Standards if your not happy, but my experience of Zavvi is a positive one and I hope that potential customers feel a bit happier knowing that my son's new onesie is fab quality (exactly the same onesie's I found on Ebay had LOADS of complaints by customers saying "poor quality" yet were the same price), his two PS3 games were both sealed and as described & my friends Rubik's cube mug is well loved and of equally good quality, so I am VERY happy bunny :)
