DPD UK

Delivered while out - but no parcel.

Spoke to a very nice liverpudlian lady on the phone to DPD today. She agreed that my parcel could be left around the back of the house. I taped a signed letter to my door to that effect. Later at work I checked the tracking website and saw that my parcel had been delivered and signed for, presumably by the driver who had also spelled my name wrong on the delivery status. Wife got home two hours after the stated delivery time, no parcel around the back or anywhere else on our property and the letter had not been opened. Phoned DPD, spoke to another helpful lady who phoned the driver. The driver said he had left the parcel around the back of the house. There is something very fishy going on here. Are DPD trustworthy?
