Transmanche crossing cancelled but no information what to next but only to go to Newhaven ferry port & not to an alternative Dover or Portsmouth port. We went to Newhaven only to be told we had to travel back 120 miles to Dover. Port contact numbers opened 1 hour before actual crossing & all websites gave no instructions what to do. All call lines busy.
Even though Aferryto refunded us the difference for the cheaper crossing we got no apology/compensation from either Transmanche, LD Lines or aferryto. All the details given to claim (at the ferry port) prooved to be incorrect contact numbers etc.
We are still fighting for the compensation for the additional fuel, toll fees & time lost.
We have had no offer of help from aferryto even though we took out their separate Insurance before the journey.
I am currently taking out legal advice in a small claims capacity.
