Well to say I am puzzled by some of the reviews is an understatement!
I ordered goods late on Monday afternoon that were dispatched from Dorset yesterday (Tuesday morning). I had a confirmatory text message and e-mail to confirm and later yesterday another message advising me that I should get the goods in the morning. They gave me choices to advise whether to change delivery to other specified days or to a neighbours address. None were needed. Yesterday afternoon we had snow and I drove home in blizzards up the A37 which is the likely direction the delivery van would take and last night that road was blocked.
This morning...another message confirming delivery was due between 9.43 and 10,43 am and again, we had more snow. At 10.06 am the parcel arrived and in minutes I had a confirmatory message to advise when and by whom the parcel was accepted.
Now think back to the days of the GPO Parcel Post system if you are old enough and such speed and communications would be unimaginable. A week would have been completely normal with no idea where anything was until it turned up, probably crushed or opened..a regular happening in those "good old 1960's" days.
I think todays service in my experience was superb and just what else could they do better?
Those with problems mention weather conditions..were you out driving around the country? and then delivery problems but did you follow the guidance and helpful messages? Customer service?...well I've no idea on that one but no complaints from me.
I will certainly use DPD again.......there are other ones.....but I've never met anything better. Superb and most impressed!
