In the end, my "48 hour" delivery was picked up on Wednesday 16th Jan, and delivered a week later on Wednesday 23rd Jan, though it was due to circumstances beyond Uni Baggage's control. The heavy snow which arrived on the Friday my parcel was meant to arrive resulted in Parcelforce being unable to deliver, understandably.
I can't fault Uni Baggage itself, it was quick and simple to book my collection, print the labels etc. They were also very helpful in trying to sort out the issues with Parcelforce. I'd say the thing in this operation letting it down is the use of Parcelforce. Bad weather preventing deliveries is understandable, however not calling me despite assurances they would personally contact me about my delayed delivery and not being able to contact them by phone myself (as I don't have a landline and the automated phone system would not work from my mobile) is not acceptable, as well as their tracking service not working correctly - my dealings with them were very stressful. In the end my parcel turned up with no warning, and it was just lucky I was in otherwise I'd still be waiting for it.
I've yet to decide whether I'd use Uni Baggage again, maybe in better weather!
