A problems with draper Bench Drill was found, No problem with Tooled-up delivery or condition of packing
Draper 5 Speed Bench Drill 350w 240v (08657) when assembled and run made an unusual noise, investigation showed there was a large dent in the bottom of the Drive Motor Guard which was rubbing slightly on the vanes of the fan beneath. Inspection of the packing showed showed no sign of damage, this must mean that the guard was damaged before the Drill was packed - so much for Quality Control ! I have removed the guard and hammered out the dent and replaced it, the drill is now working satisfactorily.
I do not wish to return the item, I need it now, but I believe an investigation with Draper is called for. Regards.

Although we do lots of extra checks on a random selection of products it is not physically possible to check every item so very occasionally an item may slip through from the manufacturers.
