I heard from a few people that they should be a trustworthy company - Boy was I wrong to have tried them.
Wanted to order Xperia TX phone which isn't available in the U.K and so I decided to order from expansys as they had the "world wide delivery" option under the product order options.
For two weeks, the order status was still "not processed"...I sent 3 e-mails to both UK and Hong Kong customer service, but no response or whatsoever.
So I called to UK customer service who could not tell me why my order has not been processed at all, and promised she will email Hong Kong (where the product was being sent from) customer service to ask why. I waited another week and called directly to Hong Kong customer service, which nobody picks up until many attempts, and asked if they know anything, they said they did not get any emails from UK customer service but said it was probably because I was living in the UK and ordering from the Hong Kong website and told me to contact UK customer service instead, so they can change the region for me. I called UK cs service again, and it was as if they have no record of speaking to me before at all, and I had to report the issue all over again. I told them I'm giving them another few days to give me an answer or else i'll need a refund.
By the next week, I still have not heard from them. I then received an automated refund, as the order was not processed for a month, so the money bounced back by itself! They had a whole month to find out the issue but obviously none of them cared or knew what they were doing! So annoyed! I then ordered my phone on [external link removed] and it came within a week, even though it was also posted from hong kong.
Stay away from Expansys. You'll save yourself time and effort.
No problems experienced when purchasing an Xperia TX phone. Was a bit worried by some negative comments in here, but decided to try it out anyway, as I had gone through so many problems from Expansys (horrible service - or lack of service, should I say), so I thought I'd give valuebasket a try as they sold this mobile too. I was informed constantly of the status of my order and they also upgraded my delivery from 7-10 days to 3-5 days delivery for free, and I was able to track it all the way via DHL. All in all a great experience and felt safe.
