I don't understand why Chess is rated so badly. In October 2012 I wanted to set up a couple of phone lines for a first time business with the same telephone number, a fax line and broadband. Did a google search and rang the first 6 or so. When I got through to Chess the sales agent understood what I wanted straight away and gave me a full breakdown of costs etc and sent an email to confirm everything (i really liked that about him). It wasn't ridiculously cheaper but he gave me a choice of number and 2 free static IP addresses (for me that was a deal breaker - BT charge £5 per IP!) and it was certainly cheaper for calls than anyone else! Having been promised the world by every other provider, I found chess's approach the most honest from start to finish. The original sales agent promised to give me a call on the day of the install and true to form he did. In fact we stayed in contact throughout.
I've had this setup for a while now without any problems at all and have since moved my home office line, broadband and mobiles to them also (i got a blackberry with all the works for just £10 a month). They also setup a friend's phone system on recommendation and not only is she really pleased with the outcome, they have gave us BOTH £100 off the next months invoice. Why would anyone dislike this company?
From the looks of things, some people just cannot be pleased. I wouldn't hesitate now to hand them my business or recommend. They're always happy and actually seem to care about your business. That's a good company in my opinion. Ring them and find out for yourself how good they are, don't follow the crowd.
The sales guy I've always dealt is Laith and he has been great. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for good service and honesty.
