Magnets are fine, 3M self-adhesion is poor / usless.

The magnets I ordered seemed reasonable even though they seemed expensive, but I have no experience of buying magnets. However from a practical aspect I had to replace all the double sided tape with some of my own which was a painful process. If a magnet can resist being pulled from a magnetic surface of X kg, then the self adhesive tape needs to resist X kg plus. Else the magnet stays put, but the self adhesive tape fails. Seems logical to me. The tape my magnets came with failed to do it’s job. I guess some could say I peeled the tape off and paced the magnets incorrectly, but it worked when I used my own double sided tape!
