My buying experience is very poor.

I ordered a jumper on line and waited for it to be delivered. After a week I noticed they had taken the money from my credit card, I presumed it was on its way to me. Nothing happened after another week I got in touch via email and was told they had run out of stock and were refunding my credit card. My question is if I had not chased them would I have heard from the them? I doubt I will be buying from them again.
