Yodel

I'm dreading this next delivery!

After all the negative reviews I have read, I thought I would place my shocking experience with Yodel. I ordered a birthday present for my fiancë, which was the new Call of Duty game. I pre-ordered, so expected it delivered on the release date. Indeed, the release date came around, and that morning received an email from Asda saying the game would be with me today and gave me my tracking number. I checked to see where the parcel was and indeed it was out for delivery.

I returned home from work to no delivery, my dad had been in all day, so there was someone around for the delivery. Luckily the next day was a day off for me, so I used the online chat to check what was happening. I was told it would be delivered today. It wasn't. The next day I went back onto the chat and demanded answers. I pre-ordered the game for a reason! I was told it would definately be delivered that day. It wasn't. And each time the tracking had said it was still out for delivery. Went on the online chat AGAIN and asked why I being constantly lied to. I was told there was never any gurantee my parcel was coming the days I have been told. Apparently there has been trouble with my delivery to my house. I asked if they had basically lost my parcel, they didn't admit they had of course.

So I gave up and rung Asda for a refund after being told that there had been no trace of the parcel after it hadbeen scanned going into the van. I was livid, got a refund and had a rant on Twitter. The Yodel twitter team picked up on my rant and said they would investigate. They emailed me saying it was on its way and would be with me that day. But the Asda lady basically told me they don't know where the parcel is! In the end I sent a complaint to the twitter team, who passed it on to the complaints department.

I then received another email from a lady who said she was going to do an investigation. I thought this was also a lie, but she did. Turned out the delivery man couldn't be bothered to delivery the arcel properly, or leave a calling card, so dumped my parcel somewher, but he couldn't remember where! I looked in every potted plant, crack, stone, everything in the garden and it was nowhere. I emailed it back that I find it very suspicious that I had no calling card, the parcel was no where to be found and wasn't scanned when he 'dumped' it somewhere! I also said I didn't want to hear from her again as id had enough of Yodel. I brought the game about 3weeks later for £8 more than I should of paid!

I'm now worrying due to the fact I ordered some new boots and they are coming via Yodel! I've checked and apparently it should be delivered today, but also be delivered the 31st. Brilliant! Looking forward to writing another rant about Yodel soon!
