Much easier than I had feared

I ordered on the Wednesday evening and was a little surprised to be informed that delivery would be on the following Monday (2 days delivery promised); however this was soon revised and I received 2 e-mails to expect delivery on Friday between 08.00 and 18.00. On Thursday afternoon I received another e-mail narrowing down delivery to between 12.30 and 16.00 on Friday - this was very useful as I had other jobs to get on with (the units actually arrived @ 13.30).

I erected them on my own (although they do recommend 2 people) I read the instructions TWICE and examined the drawings at some length. The first (RAC) unit took about 40 minutes in all; the second took less than 1/2 hour. I recommend that you fit the plastic feet after fitting the bottom half (assuming a full height) if you are working on your own. Work gently and do not try to force anything, except when making the final few knocks of the mallet; you will occasionally have to use a screwdriver to ease the lugs into the right position when driving them home and/or bend them with your fingers if they have bent slightly in transit. I alternated the direction of the bracing bars - it seemed to make good sense to me - whether this is the case, only time will tell!

I am impressed and will recommend "bigdug" to family and friends; I don't honestly anticipate a need for further shelving units for my own use - but will use the company again should the need ever arise.
