I used Opodo to book a return flight to Brussels. Upon making the booking, I received an email entitled 'Opodo flight booking information' and understood that the booking went through. However, when I tried to find the travel details shortly before the flight, I realised that the email by Opodo was not actually a booking confirmation. As the airline company had not sent the details, the email was stating that Opodo should get in touch with me within 24 hours concerning any problem around this. However, I was never contacted and presumed that the booking was fine. When I realised that the details of the flight were missing I called Opodo to enquire about why I had not received those, the call centre rep said that the booking was unconfirmed. She was dismissive even though it was clearly their mistake, as they did not contact me at all to explain whether there were any problems with the booking, offered no alternative at all and I had to book a new ticket on my own, which was substantially more extensive. The service was awful and the management is incompetent. Avoid at all costs.
