The parking at EMA was booked with APH using a car park I was familiar with. However I later received an email from LookingForParking to say that the APH site had closed and I had been rebooked to the ShuttlePlus car park, slightly nearer the terminal.
When I arrived at the entrance barrier it didn't open. I pressed the Assistance button and was told that the APH bookings had not been transferred; but after giving my name and reg number I was let in. (The 2 cars ahead of me appeared to go through the same procedure.)
It wasn't easy to find a space near the bus stop, and we ended up with a longer walk than at APH. The surface wasn't too good for wheeled cases.
While we were away there was heavy snowfall. Luckily the bus was waiting! But there had been no attempt to clear snow from the car park, so it was difficult to wheel the cases to the car. The route to the exit was not clear in the dark because the signs painted on the tarmac were under snow. At the barrier I had to give my name and reg number and it was then raised.
Overall the arrangements were not as smooth as they could and should have been.
