The most immoral courier company where money matters and service splatters !

Right well where do I start with this awful company! So i place an order online from a reputable bed company and told by them that it'll be dispatched for delivery on 16/1/13. Nothing arrived that day, nor the next. So I begin to panic as you would and contact my sender who informed me to check my tracking and it had been dispatched through XDP. I done so and guess what they were telling the truth. So now my anger turned to them and i called the local depot to ask what was going on. They told me they had backlogs from the snow, but XDP how can you explain to me that it took till Friday 1/2/13 to receive my order? By this point i had all but given up! So on Friday when it did finally arrive, it looked like the packaging had taken a severe battering so I said to the driver i need to check this, the man said you can only write un-checked on the paper work or refuse delivery and are NOT allowed to check it . This man was not in any uniform and had a beaten up white van, showing all the signs of sub-contracting! So being held to ransom i wrote un-checked to only later find out the goods were in fact damaged. I then called the sender who informed me that i should have checked them if I was unsure, and that there would have been a label on the box saying' DO NOT sign for as unchecked, please mark as damaged on the paperwork'. Well I could see where that label once was and it had been ripped off! The sender then apologised and said they would re-dispatch a new bed with another courier at their expense whilst XDP get away with it as I wrote Un-checked!! this women also informed me they are looking at using another courier company after piles of similar complaints. So guys BEWARE and dont be convinced that they are trying to help by replying to each of these comments, the FACT is once they have your money they dont care!

Hi Trevor, Whilst you have had a bad experience with this delivery which I am sorry about, we do infact look into each complaint and escalate things when needed, our aim is to provide a good service for our customers and in turn their customers. We need to know about issues like this and which depot is concerned so we can act on it. I really would appreciate knowing the consignment number so we can trace it through the system to identify the depot/driver concerned.
