Only got one star cos couldn't rate any less!

One of my worst internet shopping experiences of all time and certainly the worst after sales service. When a shower valve packed up within the warranty period, they agreed to replace it, but the item was out of stock and was due to be shipped from China within 2 weeks. The 2 weeks came and went... Whenever they promised to ring me or return my calls they never did. When I did get to speak to someone they were off hand and disinterested.
Eventually the new component did arrive but couldn't be refitted because of technical problems in removing the old part (this was attempted by 3 different plumbers.) So I asked them to send me the whole shower unit, which they agreed to do. Again surprise, surprise, it was out of stock. 2 weeks, bcame 3, then 4. I said enough, and requested a refund. They said this would be made, although they were unsure by what method, on return of the old shower unit, which a courier picked up (promptly, for once!) After several days of no communication, the process of chasing them began again. There were repeated assurances of imminent reimbursement and then the bombshell that the promise of a refund should never have been made and was a 'mistake.'
Yes, I did get my money in the end, but only after a lot of aggro and being without a working shower for several months.

As good as it gets

After months of problems with a competitor, I thought I'd give Tapsbiz a go and it couldn't have been a greater contrast. I was put through to someone who new their stuff and was happy to answer my questions without pressurising me into buying anything. If they said they'd ring back, they actually did, and when I was ready to order I got a competitive price and rapid delivery. Would definitely be my first choice in future.
