I placed an order on 20-1-13 for a bathroom suite, delivery within 3-5 days, i received an email to say it hadbeen processed and sent to the warehouse for picking that was on 21-1-13, so far so good, as i hadn't heard anymore from them on the 28th i contacted Taps for an update, i was told the heated towel rail was out of stock and the whole order had been put on hold, they hadn't BOTHERED to let me know, i ordered a replacement which would be delivered seperately on Wednesday 30th, (that arrived no problem) the bathroom would be delivered the next day, 29th i told them this wasn't suitable and asked for Wednesday. they told me this was fine, Tuesday morning i received a text from the delivery company stating they would deliver between 8 & 6 that day, i rang Taps and asked what was going on, they assured me delivery was Wednesday and the text was automatically sent, I went to work, at approx 11 am i received a tel call from the delivery to to say they had my bathroom for me, told the driver delivery was for Wednesday, Taps hadn't told them!! driver said it would be re-delivered next day, i waited in all day - NO DELIVERY, at 4pm i rang Taps for an explanation, they weren't aware of any problem!!, i spoke to [name removed]who told me she would sort out delivery for Thursday, i specifically asked for a pm delivery as my husband was in work in the morning, I received an email from [name removed]stating she had spoken to [name removed]at palletways and had rebooked for Thursday pm. At approx 9.40 am i received a call from the delivery man who said he was 20 mins away and would be with me about 10 am, when he arrived i told him i had asked for pm delivery as i was on my own, and that Taps had spoken to [name removed]and had arranged this for me, driver told me they didn't have anyone called [name removed]at their office!!! so just who did [name removed] speak to, but he couldn't have been more helpful, he carried the heavy items through to the back garden and put everything else by the front door for me. All in all a bad experience which i won't be in any hurry to repeat, not very good customer service.
